About me
My name is Ole Juul Jensen and I am a civil engineer in hydraulics, marine- and coastal engineering, Polyteknisk Lærestalt, Copenhagen (DTU 1974) and with 20 and 30 years of experience from employment in DHI and COWI, and experience from working with marine and coastal projects worldwide and in Denmark, as well as research in this field (see research interests and publications).
In January 2024, I started my one-man company, Ole Juul Kystteknik. The occasion was the storm surge from the east on 20-21 Oct. 2023, which caused major damage and flooding around the western Baltic Sea. This happened after a number of inquiries from private individuals asking for help with what to do with their properties, which had been damaged, sometimes flooded and threatened by storm surges. This has then in 2024 led to continuous involvement as a coastal technical advisor and consultant in approximately 10 projects on Zealand and Møn and most recently on Funen and requests from overseas as well.
Let us collaborate on climate adaptation and coastal engineering projects
The home page has been initiated in order to better get into contact with others that are facing these problems, or that have a special interest in these subjects. Thereby, we may have fruitful dialog for enhancing the knowledge that is so very important for the future climate adaptation of towns and coastal areas in Denmark and abroad.
